Find dat leak! Here’s a quick way how
This is a simple trick to find that annoying leak in your tire. In this case it was my car that picked up a nail. But i have used this trick on wheelbarrow, dolly, lawnmower, bicycle…basically every rubber wheel you can imagine this hack works on.
Step One: Mix some dish soap and water
Make sure there are a good amount of suds. Don’t make it too liquid.
Step Two: Pour the soapy water mix onto the tire and try to find the leak.
I usually have a bucket and a Mardi Gras cup handy. Roll the tire and keep pouring until you identify the leak.
Step Three: Look for bubbles being made
The soapy mix will start to bubble and identify the leak. Just like in the video below
The method is the same for any rubber tire you are looking to find the hole in. Remember even if a tire is poking out it may not be the hole that is causing the leak so always try this hack. That was the case with this tire.
Hope this saves your tire pressure gauge from flying!
